Love Island 2023: When is the finale?

Publish date: 2024-06-09

It's not over yet for ITV2's hit reality show Love Island - but we're already excited to find out which couples will make it as this year's winners. So, when will the show be ending so we can continue to enjoy our summers without worrying about drama in a villa in Mallorca?

ITV are yet to officially confirm when the final episode of series ten will air but the show typically runs for around eight weeks each summer.

WATCH: Which islanders will still be on the show by the finale?

This means that the finale could likely air on Monday 31 July, which is what some outlets are reporting, however, this has not yet been formally announced by ITV. We'll keep you posted!

The final episode of the series will also be an extra-long episode in which the couples read their 'final vows' at the ceremony before finding out which couples made it to fourth, third, second and first place. The proceedings usually kick off at 9 pm before concluding at around 10.35 pm - where it’ll all be over for another year (or at least until winter Love Island returns in January).

Meanwhile, plenty of drama has been occurring over the last five weeks, and movie night last Sunday proved to be explosive. The Islanders gathered around to watch some clips of their fellow villa occupants kissing, chatting and more – exposing some pretty surprising revelations.

Tyrique looked unimpressed as he watched Ella and Ouzy's Casa Amor chat unfold which saw them engage in a couple's massage and some cuddling in bed. In the previous episode, the couple had agreed to move forward from the whole ordeal, and Tyrique admitted that although it wasn't nice to witness, he's keen to forgive and forget.

However, the villa erupted when Scott and Catherine's tapes were played. The pair were seemingly getting on like a house on fire before Casa Amor swooped in, but everything changed when Catherine met Elom and brought the newbie back to the main villa with her during the Stick or Twist ceremony.

So when the tape showing Catherine and Elom getting very cosy was shown, Scott's anger was reignited and the pair began arguing. But the real tension was between Leah and Scott who locked horns when Leah tried to defend Cat. Scott ended up calling Leah a "villa spokesperson" after she said to him, "None of the girls wanted you." Yikes!

Elsewhere, our heart was breaking for Jess when she was shown clips of Sammy kissing two girls during the Casa Amor days and telling his former love interest, Mal, that he had stronger feelings for her after just three days than he did for Jess in three weeks. Sammy defended the comment as "just chat" but it certainly didn't seem that way for Jess, who was sat in tears the entire time.

Fans were quick to react to the explosive episode on social media. One person wrote: "If the #LoveIsland producers never do the tweet challenge again PLEASE just do it this year… too many people need to be shamed because I'm IRRITATED by everyone at this point."

Another said: "'You haven't spoken for four weeks now you want to be villa spokesperson' is still sending me because I'm realising how observant that man is. Like that's a comment a tv viewer would make and it's such a niche comeback that he Had to be sitting on it for a while. #loveisland."

A third added: "Anyone coupled with Scott will get my vote #loveisland."
